It was a proper session givin thanks on the day of 420, the beginning of Lazy Beats & Irie flows followed & we laughed out loud.. Almost Fukin Lazy, it suited the sound perfectly.. Lazy as you like when your sitting foot tappin, grounding in chaos when you up for the eyes closed challenge.. it’s been a 7 year cycle of exploring our sound(s) & we thank you for being a part of it.. !

When we look back at the journey of Almost Lazy, inspired in sound, away from influence, its no wonder every song was a moments insanity, a lethargic game of bouncing files that remain live recordings & posting them on Soundcloud straight away like a rookie lol. So whats happened to the catalog of tunes that have put festival & venue stages under so much pressure since 2012? That is the question that trying to get answered.. hopefully it wont take 7 years like releasing the catalog has… haha

As we approach the 7 year anniversary on 4/20, of Almost Lazy’s creation we can see a game of catch up being played like its a room full of kids & the parents have gone to smoke.. So what does that even mean>>??

One of the real benefits that we see with the Streaming services is how they make you turn the music down… yep thats right down… Since the D’evolution of the Loudness Wars in the 1990’s it can be said that the life has been sucked out of sound with standardised over compression & volume in LUFS..

Being from a era of mixtapes & vinyl we have avoided the 90’s theory of Loud is better & mixed to K theory standards which puts our sound perfectly inline with Streaming service requirements. We think that the dynamic of frequencies delivers a cleaner full spectrum with a dynamic range that is for listening....

The first Single from ‘Consequence of Influence’ Stoned is exactly what we need to hear on the topic of criminalisation…

This long awaited release of some of Almost Lazy’s oldest tunes is finally due for release on none other than 4/20 2019. Well tried & tested on crowds around the globe this release of 5 tracks is another headdy mix of Roots, steppers & plenty of Sub Bass vibrations to glue them all together.

After the 2017 release of their Messin’jah Mixtape “The Book of Kings” this act found that their original dub influences have generated much diversity within the genres, somehow capable of being hosted on the same release. Experimental perhaps, this act brings a fairly unique perspective to releasing music in todays age.. Bulkier & Beefier have been descriptions as their track counts exceed other artists by the listening community...
