History

While we are all about the future we give the greatest thanks to our pasts.. Collectively we have come from everywhere & nowhere, making the right decisions in life to bring us together in this day & age.. Music has always been an expression since kids, taking the lessons in life & translating them into feelin & 4 part harmonies.. Our spirits remain lifted.

So lets see where it all started..

Lazy, aka jSun, has been around lingering for longer that he would care to share.. Starting out as a stalker to turntablism & beat makers he found production on an MPC 60 his focus has not changed..

Beginning to produce, mix & perform in the days of 8bit, Atari & 2″ Tape, he has been on the tech edge since then, becoming a collector of fine hardware for decades…
jSun JamminSlinging vinyl for a minute, his focus on new sounds, future genres with high quality audio has seen him promote events for many of the new sounds over the past 28 years, including Dub Reggae, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Dubstep & the Glitch genres. His early Outdoor & Indoor gatherings have inspired many in the genre bending evolution of electronic festivals, his creation of Bass & Breaks parties, that have gone down in history, along with the low end live mix engineering that goes with the genres to bring full body feeling & good vibrations.

Community Radio has been a thing for Lazy, being properly opinionated & pushy of sound, he’s welcomed many of today’s favourites to air back in the day.

From ‘The Session’ on 2SER after high school, Beats n Peaces was Australia’s first Dubstep & Bass Music radio show from2002 with vinyl only mixes to open the ears of our wider public…

Since 2004 his ‘DubMonday’ Reggae n Dubs show has been heard all over the world for its blend of provoking political & environmental topics, old school dubs & dope fresh tunes from great local & international artists.

His 2003-9 Festivals have become legend amongst the OG’s in the scenes.. Running Reggae Sound System family friendly events & Bass Music Festivals touring Internationals Headliners of that scale, he really has brought communities together from the ground up, usually involving some unknown genre to showcase until they take off a decade later. I often wonder what would this industry be like if he wasn’t in it? Not a happy thought!

Notorious to many that follow, his perspective on experiencing with his children has no doubt set a standard amongst many..

Role modelling for youth in more than one way, he provides real life situations that people can witness how family compliments your life. Renowned for Sound, his family have grown up in the world that so many wish they could.

The children tell the tale of their evolution in entertainment with their own individual capacities to entertain or setup & run stages all weekend long..

to give you an idea, his youngest daughter spun his records, yes vinyl, for 90 mins to over 200 people at a festival while he was setting up a band that had stage fright when she was just 7 years old… No pun intended but i think she set a record that day & how viral that went probably backs this up..

So lazy or not, has he become an icon or just a fella behind the scenes of the quality concepts & the future of genres that events all over the country still use today.. You can make your own mind up by chatting to the big fella at one of their shows, you wont forget it..
